MORGANTOWN, W. Va. (WDTV) - West Virginia University held Demo Day on Thursday as a way to showcase innovation and entrepreneurship.

Students and faculty members from around campus showcased their innovative ideas, inventions, and unique business ventures. One of their exhibits was Interior Design and Fashion Design, which took place in the evening.

Seniors of these programs displayed their final projects. The theme was "social responsibility." Some of the students had to design for a dance therapy studio or a refugee center.

"It's really cool to have such diverse category of spaces and what we did is we created the space based on our clients," said Ruby Meyers, interior design student.

"It's been a long four years so it's definitely something we really should be proud of," Ally Lewis, also an interior design student.

Other events that took place were a video game pitch competition to a Wikipedia edit-a-thon.
