  1. What is the LaunchLab?

    LaunchLab is a comprehensive, one-stop commercialization and proof-of-concept applied innovation center.

  2. What resources does the LaunchLab & LaunchLab Studios offer?

    The LaunchLab applied innovation center provides WVU students and faculty with a community-based center offering hands-on idea development support, education, mentorship, prototyping facilities, video recording for marketing, pitch competitions, resources, and connections to innovative entrepreneurs across the State of West Virginia.

  3. How do I get started/involved?

    You can get started today by coming by our office or filling out an intake form to become a LaunchLab client.

  4. Who can use the LaunchLab?

    Any WVU student or faculty from any major or year; as well as, any community members who are West Virginia residents.

  5. What is the MakerLab?

    MakerLab is a prototyping space for students who are interested in learning how to build a 3-D model of their innovation. Students who are LaunchLab clients can work with engineering partners to design, build and test their inventions. Students can schedule an appointment with MakerLab staff in order to be trained on all equipment use. LaunchLab clients can work with staff engineers to design, build and test their innovations.

  6. Does it cost money to utilize the LaunchLab’s services?

    Nope! We offer free services to all of our LaunchLab clients.

  7. Where is the LaunchLab Located?

    Morgantown's LaunchLab is located on the 4th floor of the Evansdale Crossing in room 413. Beckley's office is located in the Innovation Building room 109.

  8. What hours is the LaunchLab open?

    Monday - Thursday
    9 AM - 4 PM
