Kenan Hatipoglu

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING AT WVU TECH

Dr. Hatipoglu is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at WVU Tech. He completed his master's degree at the University of Louisville, Kentucky in 2008 and his Ph.D. from Tennessee Tech University in 2013, both in electrical engineering.

He was also a Department of Energy visiting faculty member at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the summer of 2018 and 2019. He served as Technical Committee Program Chair of the 49th North American Power Symposium (NAPS). He is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). His area of expertise is smart grid and microgrid applications, power system analysis and control; renewable energy resources; power electronics and engineering education.
