Guy Peduto has over 35 years of strategic planning experience, including business formation, product development, go-to-market and market development strategies for industrial and commercial manufacturers, consumer goods, medical device and diagnostics, advanced research and development, healthcare, financial institutions, Internet and mobile application start-ups and retail chains. Commercialization and scale-up experience with an emphasis on product introduction, leadership for early stage and start-up companies, market and business development and early stage venture investment. Guy joined the INNOVA Commercialization Group in April 2006. INNOVA, an initiative of the WVHTC Foundation, is a venture development group providing business support, commercialization services and early-stage investment capital dedicated to developing new technology ventures in West Virginia. INNOVA has worked with more than 500 companies and entrepreneurs seeking professional and/or financial assistance and has placed over $3.5 million dollars of direct investments into twenty-eight (28) West Virginia companies. As a contributor to West Virginia’s technology-based economic development movement, he serves on both the board of directors and executive committee of TechConnect WV, (WV Technology-based economic development), the Chemical Alliance Zone Incubator Advisory Board and Commercialization Network and the WV High Technology Consortium Foundation Affiliate Leadership Council. Guy serves on the corporate boards of Greenbrier Technical Services, PolyPlexx, SIOXX, LLC, Figure 8, IstoVisio and Wright Wold Scientific. Guy supports education and entrepreneurship as a member of the West Virginia University Brickstreet Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship Advisory Council, the LaunchLab Resource Network, the Fairmont State University School of Business Advisory Board and the Robert C. Byrd Institute Advanced Manufacturing Ten50 Business Accelerator Advisory Board. Guy received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from West Virginia University. In addition, he is a graduate of the Competitive Strategy program at the Kellogg School, Northwestern University, the Commercialization and Technology Transfer program at Carnegie Mellon University, the National Association of Seed and Venture Funds Professional Development Program and the Venture Capital Institute. He is also a member of the Leadership West Virginia Class of 2004.
