Upcoming Opportunities

Get excited for the spring semester with our upcoming events! 

In the spirit of the Valentines Day season the WVU LaunchLab in conjunction with the WVU IDEA Hub, will host the I Heart IDEA Hub Pitch Challenge February 13, 2019. The purpose of this event is to bring together various IDEA Hub partners to compete in a central innovative competition.

The March Idea Challenge will take place on March 28, 2018 @ 5 p.m. This challenge will pin students head-to-head in a bracket style competition.

Attend the 2nd annual Demo Day April 25, 2019! Students, faculty and staff will converge to present their ideas, innovations, and inventions for an opportunity to win funding to further their work.

WVU LaunchLab Network hosts competition on early-stage hardware startups

In a groundbreaking new partnership, the WVU LaunchLab Network partnered with AlphaLab Gear to hold a pitch competition for WVU students and alumni. The winner of the competition earned a coveted slot in the semi-final selection round for the AlphaLab Gear Hardware Cup, which boasts a $50,000 grand prize.
